The Artoni e Fadani Cup returns to the Centro Sportivo di Gussola in partnership with APD River Club United. Now in its second year, the tournament has expanded to span two days of competition. On Saturday 23 May from 4 pm, the Primi Calci category will take to the pitch, followed by the Pulcini on Sunday 24 May from 3 pm.
Six clubs will compete alongside the event’s host and organiser A.P.D. River Club United: A.S.D. Primavera Stagnolmese, Rapid 2018 Viadana, Rapid United Football Club, Torrazzo Malagnino DiGi2, and S.S. Leoncelli A.S.D. This is a wider field than the inaugural edition and draws amateur clubs from the province of Cremona and the surrounding area.
The event is open to everyone, with mini-games and entertainment activities available for young athletes throughout both days and bar and catering services running continuously. Admission is free.
“Providing young people with a healthy environment in which to grow up requires real investment’, says Rosa Manuela Artoni of Artoni e Fadani S.r.l. ‘We believe this is a concrete responsibility for any company with deep roots in its community.’ Sport builds character and teaches commitment and respect — values passed on one training session at a time. Now in its second year, the Artoni e Fadani CUP is already an event that the community looks forward to, which tells us that we are on the right track.”
A sentiment echoed by A.P.D. River Club United: “This weekend is far more than a tournament. It is a chance for young athletes in this area to come together through sport, made possible by the support of Artoni e Fadani, the event’s main sponsor and a longstanding advocate for grassroots football. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Centro Sportivo Comunale di Gussola.“
The Artoni e Fadani Cup forms part of the company’s broader commitment to community engagement, alongside its manufacturing activity. The aim is to establish an active presence in the area’s social and sporting life.
